**Free:** 100 credits every month. It needs a verified email. Inputs up to 100 MB.

## How credits work

- **One credit** pays for one conversion of an input file up to 100 MB.
- **Larger files** cost one more credit for each further started 100 MB.
- **Free credits** reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Convertr uses them first.
- **Paid credits** are valid for 12 months after you buy them.
- **Failed conversions** are refunded automatically.

## Questions

**What is a credit?**

A credit pays for one conversion of an input file up to 100 MB. Each further started 100 MB costs one more credit.

**Do credits expire?**

Paid credits are valid for 12 months after you buy them. The monthly free credits reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC).

**Which credits does Convertr use first?**

The monthly free credits come first. Paid credits are used after that.

**What happens when a conversion fails?**

Convertr refunds the credits automatically. The refund shows in your usage list.

**How large can a file be?**

The free plan accepts inputs up to 100 MB. With paid credits the limit is 1 GB. Files over 100 MB must be sent as a URL, not as an upload.

**How long does Convertr keep my files?**

Convertr deletes files 24 hours after the conversion. You can delete them sooner with the API.

**Is this a subscription?**

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases.

**Do I need an account to use the website converter?**

No. The converter on convertr.org stays free and works without an account. The API plans are for programs and AI agents that convert files.
