The X3F format is a multimedia standard in the current world of digital content. And it shows the following advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages:

• The X3F files are compatible with the software applications available for devices running Linux, Mac OS, Windows
• The X3F format with its ability to record both captured and possible image values, offers a greater amount of information such as exposure parameters, balance, focal length, among other details concerning the image.
• As mentioned, one of the major advantages of the X3F image is the amount of information that is stored, but this, in turn, also translates into a higher image quality compared to other formats, since it can be much more faithful to aspects such as color and contrast of the photograph.
