AVIF can use lossy or lossless compression and supports transparency and high bit depth.
Convert AVIF images to lossless PNG files for transparent graphics, editing, and compatibility with older apps and devices.

Vstupní formát
AVIF is a modern compressed image format used for smaller web images. It can store photos, graphics, and transparent backgrounds, but some older apps and devices cannot open it.

PNG uses lossless compression and is widely supported by browsers, image editors, office software, design tools, phones, and desktop operating systems.
Use PNG when an AVIF image will not open in an editor, upload form, presentation, or older device, or when a transparent background must remain available.
The PNG output is encoded losslessly, so saving or editing it again does not add JPEG-style compression artifacts. Converting cannot restore detail already removed when the source AVIF was created.
PNG is a practical target when compatibility, transparency, or a lossless editing file matters more than the smallest download.
When the source AVIF contains an alpha channel, the PNG output keeps that transparency for logos, icons, overlays, product images, and design assets.
PNG works in older browsers, office apps, image editors, upload forms, phones, and desktop tools that may reject or fail to preview AVIF.
PNG stores the converted pixels without additional lossy compression, which is useful for screenshots, interface graphics, diagrams, and images you plan to edit.
PNG files are often larger than AVIF files. Keep AVIF for efficient modern web delivery and choose PNG when compatibility or transparency is the priority.
Yes. If the AVIF source has a transparent background, the PNG output keeps its alpha transparency. An opaque AVIF remains opaque.
The PNG output uses lossless compression and does not add new lossy artifacts. It cannot recover image detail that was already discarded when the source AVIF was encoded.
AVIF is designed for very efficient compression. PNG prioritizes lossless pixel storage and broad compatibility, so its files are often larger, especially for photographs.
PNG has broad support across current and older browsers, Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, Android, office software, design tools, and common upload forms.
Yes. Add multiple AVIF images and convert them to PNG in the same workflow. Each uploaded file can be up to 1 GB.
Yes. Convertr is free to use with no registration or software installation. Uploaded files are processed for conversion and automatically deleted afterward.
Choose another AVIF, PNG, WebP, or JPG workflow when a different image target fits your use case.
AVIF can use lossy or lossless compression and supports transparency and high bit depth.
PNG uses lossless compression and supports full transparency.
The AVIF pixels are decoded and written using PNG compression and color capabilities.
Uploads and converted files are processed automatically and irreversibly deleted within 24 hours. You can delete them sooner with the delete control. Convertr does not read, mine, sell, or manually review file contents.
