What are 3FR files?
It is a raw image file created by a Hasselblad digital camera and is the successor to the Imacon 3F file format. It contains little information that is not processed so it is not editable.

The 3FR format is a multimedia standard in the current world of digital content. And it shows the following advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages:
The image produced is the same as that recorded by the camera's sensor unit.
It includes lossless compression, which reduces the file size.
Uses 16-bit color depth, special algorithms, CMOS sensitivity and filters to produce natural colors.
It is compatible with Linux, Mac and Windows and editable in Lightroom and Photoshop.
3FR is a Hasselblad camera RAW file containing sensor data and camera metadata rather than a finished picture.
What this converter actually supports
Published still-image routes use the deployed ImageMagick and Ghostscript toolchain, with dedicated workflows for animation, camera RAW rendering, SVG tracing, and selected modern formats where the generic path is not sufficient.
Photographers usually convert 3FR to TIFF for editing or JPG for convenient previews and sharing.
The public upload limit is 1 GB. Convertr does not reduce dimensions, duration, resolution, or output quality merely to manage worker load.
Quality and format limits
PNG and TIFF are useful lossless working targets. JPG is lossy and removes transparency; WebP and AVIF may be lossy or lossless. Preserve source pixel dimensions unless resizing is intentional.
A rendered export cannot retain every proprietary adjustment or recreate the original sensor mosaic.

Check that the file opens in its original application, is not encrypted or DRM-protected, and really matches its extension. A damaged header, unsupported internal codec, missing linked asset, or mislabeled file can fail even when 3FR is generally supported. Try a different published target only when it fits your goal; changing the extension by hand does not convert the file.
