No. All citation parsing and mapping run locally in your browser. No citation text or file contents are sent to our servers.

How are RIS types mapped to BibTeX?

RIS types like JOUR, BOOK, CHAP are mapped to article, book, inbook respectively, defaulting to misc if unknown.

How is the BibTeX citation key generated?

The citation key is generated automatically based on the first author's last name and the publication year (e.g. smith2026). If these are missing, a fallback key is used.
