MP3 is a lossy MPEG audio codec and elementary stream format valued for universal playback.
What this converter actually supports
Published audio routes run through the deployed FFmpeg toolchain. The converter probes the source stream before conversion, and files without a decodable audio stream cannot produce an audio result.
Use MP3 for sharing and legacy devices, WAV for editing, or FLAC only when preventing additional loss from later processing.
The public upload limit is 1 GB. Convertr does not reduce dimensions, duration, resolution, or output quality merely to manage worker load.
Quality and format limits
WAV, AIFF, and FLAC are appropriate when decoded sample fidelity matters. MP3, AAC, Opus, WMA, and Vorbis are lossy; choose bitrate for the destination and do not expect a higher number to restore source detail.
A higher export bitrate cannot restore frequencies or detail already removed from an MP3 source.

These links come from the active conversion catalog, not from a generic list of possible formats.
Check that the file opens in its original application, is not encrypted or DRM-protected, and really matches its extension. A damaged header, unsupported internal codec, missing linked asset, or mislabeled file can fail even when MP3 is generally supported. Try a different published target only when it fits your goal; changing the extension by hand does not convert the file.
