Cron Expression Generator
Build, validate and explain standard 5-field Unix cron schedules. Preview upcoming run times in a selected timezone and copy the expression when it is ready.
Unix 5-field syntax
This tool validates minute, hour, day of month, month and day of week fields. Quartz seconds and year fields are not interpreted.
Timezone-aware preview
Upcoming runs are calculated against the selected IANA timezone using browser date APIs, including daylight saving behavior.
Privates Browser-Dienstprogramm
Cron expressions are parsed locally. Analytics use safe schedule buckets only, not the raw expression you type.

Frequently asked questions
Which cron syntax does this generator support?
This MVP supports standard 5-field Unix cron syntax: minute, hour, day of month, month and day of week. Quartz 6-field and 7-field expressions are not interpreted on this page.
Are cron expressions uploaded to Convertr?
No. Validation, explanation and next-run previews run locally in your browser. Raw expressions are not sent to Convertr servers.
How are day-of-month and day-of-week handled?
When both fields are restricted, this page follows common Unix crontab behavior and runs when either field matches.
Do timezone and daylight saving changes matter?
Yes. The next-run preview evaluates the selected IANA timezone with your browser Intl APIs, so daylight saving transitions can skip or duplicate local wall-clock times.
