Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF to Word converter free?

Yes. Convertr converts PDF files to editable DOCX documents for free, with no account, no watermark, and no paid document-conversion provider.

Will the DOCX look exactly like the PDF?

PDF to Word conversion is best-effort. Text, tables, images, and page structure are preserved where possible, but complex layouts, unusual fonts, forms, and layered designs can need manual cleanup in Word.

Can scanned PDFs become editable Word files?

Scanned PDFs are images of pages. If your PDF is scanned, use the OCR tool first to extract text, then convert or rebuild the document from the OCR output. Convertr does not use paid OCR APIs for this workflow.

What if my PDF is password protected?

If you know the open password, use Unlock PDF first and then upload the unlocked file here. Convertr does not bypass unknown passwords.

Was ist die maximale PDF-Größe?

You can upload PDFs up to 1 GB. Large files may take longer, but the output is not deliberately reduced in quality to save server capacity.
