DICOM Inspector and Viewer

Inspect a local DICOM file and render a selected pixel frame without exposing identifying header tags by default.

File utility only. Not for diagnosis, clinical decisions, PACS use, or medical advice.

One .dcm file, up to 1 GB. ZIP series input remains disabled until archive containment and expansion tests are complete.

Verified scope

Reads one user-supplied DICOM file, validates its declared shape before pixel decoding, and processes requested frames one at a time. Unsupported or private compressed transfer syntaxes fail clearly.

DICOM Viewer

Inspect a DICOM image and render a non-diagnostic preview with selected metadata.

Input
One supported, non-encrypted DICOM file.
Output
A browser preview and a bounded set of parsed metadata.
Real limitations
This utility is not for diagnosis, clinical decisions, PACS workflows, or medical advice, and it does not support every transfer syntax.
Privacy and data handling
one supported, non-encrypted DICOM file is uploaded to a compatible Convertr worker only after you start the operation. Processing is automated, and temporary source and result files are deleted automatically after processing rather than retained as permanent storage.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one supported, non-encrypted DICOM file and wait for the page to validate it.
  2. Set the available output or inspection options, then start processing.
  3. Review the reported result and download a browser preview and a bounded set of parsed metadata before the temporary link expires.

Common failure modes

Unsupported compression, missing pixel data, invalid tags, or a non-DICOM file prevents the preview from loading.

Useful example

Upload a test CT slice to inspect dimensions and windowed pixels without treating the rendering as a clinical viewer.
