Choose or paste an image to start. No image is uploaded.
The image preview will appear here.

Pixel or area sampling

Pick one exact pixel or average a 3x3 or 5x5 area when screenshots, photos or antialiasing create noisy edges.

Copy-ready formats

Copy HEX, RGB, HSL and CSS color strings for design tokens, ecommerce swatches, stylesheets or documentation.

No upload workflow

The image stays on your device. The browser handles decoding, previewing, zooming and sampling locally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Images are decoded and sampled locally in your browser. The image file, filename and picked color are not sent to Convertr servers.

Can I paste screenshots?

Yes. Copy a screenshot or image, focus this page, and paste. If the browser exposes the clipboard item as an image, the picker loads it locally.

Why use area sampling?

Averaging a 3x3 or 5x5 area helps when one pixel is affected by compression, antialiasing, transparency or photo noise.

Image Color Picker

Sample exact HEX, RGB, and HSL colors from a pixel or averaged area in a local image.

Input
A pasted, dropped, or selected image plus sample-size choice.
Output
The sampled color values and a reusable palette history.
Real limitations
Canvas color values depend on decoded pixels and color management; transparent pixels and averaged areas may not match a design file’s named swatch.
Privacy and data handling
a pasted, dropped, or selected image plus sample-size choice is processed in this browser tab. Convertr does not receive or store it; closing or reloading the page clears the working state unless the tool explicitly offers a local download.

How to use this tool

  1. Provide a pasted, dropped, or selected image plus sample-size choice in the tool controls.
  2. Choose the settings that affect the sampled color values and a reusable palette history, then run the tool.
  3. Review the sampled color values and a reusable palette history before copying or downloading it.

Common failure modes

An unreadable image, browser memory limit, missing clipboard permission, or click outside the image prevents sampling.

Useful example

Load a logo, choose a 3×3 average, and sample its background to copy the HEX value.
