What changes

- All visual content is intentionally discarded.
- Codec and quality implications
- MP3 uses lossy compression. A higher quality or bitrate can reduce new artifacts, but it cannot restore detail already missing from the MKV source.
- Realistic limitations
- A MKV file with no decodable audio stream cannot produce MP3 audio. Corrupt, encrypted, or unsupported codecs can also fail.

- The result has no sound or will not play.
- Try a broadly supported target codec and verify that the source contains a decodable audio stream.
