News Search Exporter
Search a bounded set of current news results and export the returned public metadata.
- Input
- A news query, locale, date range, and available result filters.
- Output
- The returned titles, publishers, dates, links, and snippets as CSV or JSON.
- Real limitations
- Coverage depends on the upstream index, is not exhaustive or archival, and publication dates and snippets can be incomplete or changed.
- Privacy and data handling
- a news query, locale, date range, and available result filters is sent to Convertr and, when required, the named upstream data service. Do not submit secrets or private URLs. The page does not claim that remote results are complete, permanent, or private to the upstream provider.
How to use this tool
- Enter a news query, locale, date range, and available result filters and choose the available filters.
- Start the lookup and wait for the remote response.
- Review the returned titles, publishers, dates, links, and snippets as CSV or JSON; export it only when the page provides an export action.
Common failure modes
A broad or empty query, upstream timeout, rate limit, invalid filter, or no indexed matches can return no rows.
Useful example
Search renewable energy policy for the past week and export the returned article metadata to CSV.
