MSG to PDF

Turn an Outlook MSG email into a clean PDF with its headers, message body, inline images and a list of attachments.

Choose one Outlook .msg file up to 1 GB. It is converted on a Convertr server and is never sent, searched or connected to an account. PST and OST mailboxes are not supported.

Remote content is never loaded

Remote images, fonts and style sheets are not downloaded, so tracking pixels cannot report that you opened the message. They show as a small placeholder. Scripts and forms are removed.

Attachments stay files

Attachments are listed in the PDF with their names and sizes. To download them, choose the attachment ZIP under Download options.

MSG to PDF

Convert one Outlook MSG email message into a PDF document that keeps the headers, the formatted body and inline images.

Input
One Outlook .msg message file (Unicode or ANSI) up to 1 GB.
Output
One PDF file with a header block (From, To, Cc, Date, Subject, attachments) followed by the message body.
Real limitations
Remote images, fonts and style sheets are not loaded. Attachments are listed but not converted into the PDF. Encrypted content cannot be shown. PST and OST mailboxes are not supported.
Privacy and data handling
The file is uploaded to a Convertr server only after you start. It is processed automatically, and the source and result files are deleted automatically after a short time.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose one .msg file saved from Outlook.
  2. Wait while the message is read and printed as a PDF.
  3. Download the PDF before the temporary link expires.

Common failure modes

A damaged or truncated MSG file, a PST mailbox renamed to .msg or a file that is not an Outlook message is reported instead of guessed.

Useful example

Upload a meeting-notes.msg saved from Outlook to get a PDF that you can archive or share.

Frequently asked questions

Is my email uploaded or stored?

The file is uploaded to a Convertr server only to create the PDF. It is never sent, searched or connected to an account, and the files are deleted automatically after a short time.

Why do some images show as “External image not loaded”?

Images that the email loads from the internet are not downloaded. This keeps tracking pixels from reporting that you opened the message. Images that are included in the email itself are shown.

Are attachments included in the PDF?

Attachments are listed with their names and sizes, but they are not converted into the PDF. Choose the attachment ZIP under Download options to download them.

Can I convert a PST or OST file?

No. PST and OST files are whole Outlook mailboxes and are not supported. Save single messages as .msg files in Outlook and convert them here.
