Compatibility, not lossless conversion

SRT cannot represent ASS styles, karaoke timing, drawings, transforms, complex positioning, embedded fonts or graphics, and many override tags. WebVTT support varies by player. Unsupported syntax is removed and listed in the loss manifest instead of becoming visible caption text.

Private and bounded processing

Only the subtitle content you provide is parsed. The tool does not fetch fonts, follow URLs, execute attachments, translate text, render subtitles into video, or accept archives and scripts.

Processing is automated, and temporary source and result files are deleted automatically after processing rather than retained as permanent storage.
